Tips for protecting Hof Bergmann against mod theft in the future!

Important Information About the Future Protection of Hof Bergmann

Dear Community,

we would like to let you know in advance that future versions of Hof Bergmann will include a personal activation system.

This measure is not directed against our honest players. Unfortunately, maps and mods are repeatedly uploaded and distributed on third-party websites without permission. A great deal of time, work and passion goes into Hof Bergmann. With this new protection, we want to ensure that the map is obtained exclusively through our official channels.

How the Activation Works

The process will be kept as simple as possible:

  1. Sign in to our ModBase using your LSFM account and download Hof Bergmann from the official download page.
  2. When starting the map for the first time, it will display a personal device code in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
  3. Enter this code on the Hof Bergmann activation page in our ModBase.
  4. You can then download your personal licence file.
  5. Place the licence file in the following folder:
    Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\modSettings
  6. Restart the map and you can play as usual.

The activation only needs to be completed once. A permanent internet connection is not required to play, and no additional software needs to be installed. The map only checks the licence file stored locally on your computer.

What Happens if I Get a New PC?

The licence is linked to the activated device and therefore cannot simply be shared with other people. If you change your PC or make major hardware changes, you can contact us. We can reset the existing device link so that you can create a new licence for your new computer.

Your download access and LSFM account will, of course, remain unaffected.

Why Are We Introducing This Protection?

The activation system is intended to make unauthorised reuploads and distribution through third-party download websites much more difficult. Anyone who obtains Hof Bergmann through our official ModBase will still be able to use the map without a permanent online check or additional software.

We want as little as possible to change for our honest players while allowing us to better protect our work and the future of Hof Bergmann.
